Sometimes you just want the outside done. Maybe you've already cleaned the inside, maybe the home is tenanted, maybe the exterior glass is salt-filmed and the interior is fine. Our dedicated exterior window cleaning is built around the hard part — high access, second storeys, ocean-facing glass and the panes you can't reach from the inside.

Why it matters on the Northern Beaches
Ocean-facing homes pick up salt film faster than anywhere else in Sydney. Within a week of light rain and sea breeze, the glass goes from clear to hazy — and that haze isn't just dust, it's dissolved sea salt crystallising on the surface as it dries. Ignore it long enough and the salt etches the glass permanently. Add the fact that a lot of Beaches homes are two or three levels with decks, balconies, cantilevered rooflines and terrace gardens, and the exterior is where all the difficult panes live. Interior glass on the same homes is often in great condition — it's genuinely just the outside that needs doing.
Our process
Ground-floor and deck-accessible glass is hand-cleaned using the traditional soap, scrim and squeegee method — which, done properly, is still the fastest way to a flawless finish. High panes, second-storey glass, panes above pitched rooflines and anything else we can't reach safely from a deck are done with a water-fed pole and purified, deionised water. The pole brushes agitate the film, the purified water rinses it off, and the glass air-dries spot-free because there are no dissolved minerals left to leave a mark. We don't use pressure — water-fed pole work is all about chemistry-free rinsing, not force. Frames and sills are brushed in the process. Flyscreens pulled and rinsed on request.
What we are checking for
While we're working the outside we're flagging anything we notice — silicone that's perished around a window frame, flyscreens torn or sagging, salt corrosion on window-frame fixings, cracked glass or failed double-glazing seals. On a salt-etched window we'll tell you honestly whether a clean is going to get it back to clear or whether the etching is permanent; on occasion it's deep enough that only a glass restoration specialist can help, and we'll say so rather than charge to clean it three times. Exterior work pairs naturally with a house wash or full house washing service if the walls need attention at the same time.
When to book it in
Ocean-front homes are typically on a monthly or bimonthly cycle just to manage the salt. Most Beaches homes do well on a quarterly exterior clean. If you've got guests coming, a real-estate photo shoot, or you've just had a house wash, an exterior window clean straight after is almost always worth it — freshly-clean walls make dirty glass look obvious.
